Podragu Cottage
Podragu Cottage (Cabana Podragu) is the highest mountain hut in Romania’s Făgăraș Mountains, perched at an altitude of 2,136 meters. Located in a glacial valley next to Podragu Lake, it serves as the primary base for hikers summiting Moldoveanu Peak, the country’s highest point.
Negoiu Cottage
Negoiu Cottage (Cabana Negoiu) is a historic mountain lodge located on the northern slopes of the Făgăraș Mountains at an altitude of 1,546 meters. It is the primary jumping-off point for summiting Negoiu Peak, Romania’s second-highest and most technically challenging mountain.
Sambata Cottage
Sâmbăta Cottage (Cabana Valea Sâmbetei) is a popular, lower-altitude hut in the eastern Făgăraș Mountains, situated at 1,401 meters. It is famous for its scenic location at the foot of the “Great Window of Sâmbăta” (Fereastra Mare a Sâmbetei).
